Beth H. Watson, CFP, ABFP
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
Accredited Behavioral Finance Professional™
Beth Watson brings over a decade of industry experience and a unique, human-centered approach to financial planning. She believes that true financial independence isn't just about the numbers; it's about understanding the behaviors and emotions that drive our decisions.
More About Beth's Approach: Beth's journey into financial planning began with a passion for developing programs that help people strive to achieve their goals. Early in her career, she honed her skills in various management roles, building strategic plans that delivered results. This foundation naturally led her to financial planning, where she now helps clients build personalized roadmaps to their lifestyle aspirations. Joining Corner Post Financial Planning in 2013, she initially focused on client financial education before transitioning to an advisory role, earning her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2019.
A Philosophy Rooted in Behavior: "The numbers on the spreadsheet matter a lot, but life doesn't happen in two dimensions." This core belief drives Beth's financial planning philosophy. Recognizing that behaviors, not just investments, are the true drivers of financial independence, she pursued the Accredited Behavioral Finance Professional™ certification. This specialized knowledge allows her to guide clients through the emotional and psychological aspects of money, helping them strive to make smarter, more viable financial decisions.
Who Beth Serves: With a background as a former chamber of commerce executive, Beth possesses a deep understanding of the unique financial landscapes faced by small businesses and industry partners. She specializes in serving professionals in energy, utilities, construction, and defense contracting across Texas. Additionally, Corner Post Financial Planning is dedicated to supporting households where women are the financial leaders, providing tailored guidance and empowering them to confidently manage their wealth.
Beyond the Office: Outside of her professional life, Beth is deeply committed to her community and family. She enjoys outdoor and cultural activities, including travel, and finds joy in learning new things from her children – even facilitating a local coding club for kids! Her dedication extends to local government, where she serves on the Mineral Wells City Council. In her spare time, you'll often find her immersed in history, social science, or literary fiction.
