Beth Henary Watson



Beth Henary Watson is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER on our team. She enjoys working with individuals and families to evaluate their situations and develop strategies for managing  their important goals including a secure retirement and leaving a legacy.

Beth has a strong interest in the psychology of personal finance and believes that solid personal finance is the foundation of every successful financial plan.

She has an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Texas, a master's degree from UT Arlington, and special certification in organization management from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Prior to joining the firm in October 2013, Beth served as executive director of the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce for six years.

In 2018 she was elected to the Mineral Wells City Council. Beth has also served on the board of directors for CASA Hope for Children, the Mineral Wells Rotary Club, the Mineral Wells Study Club, and the Mineral Wells Community Development Corporation. She was founder and treasurer of Friends of the Baker, a grassroots, regionwide effort to enhance funding for economic development in Mineral Wells. Her past board service also includes the Texas Association of Business and the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives.

Previously a Robert Novak fellow at the Fund for American Studies, she is an accomplished writer and has been published in numerous publications on topics as diverse as how the Affordable Care Act will affect the self-employed and what communities do with abandoned National Guard armories.

She enjoys reading widely, writing poetry, hiking, traveling, and spending free time with her husband, Steve, and their children, Winston and Victoria.
